Rabbit anti-Human GPLD1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against GPLD1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 24-160 of human GPLD1 (NP_001494.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA.

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    GPLD1

  • Target Full Name

    Phosphatidylinositol-glycan-specific phospholipase D

  • Target Function

This protein hydrolyzes the inositol phosphate linkage in proteins anchored by phosphatidylinositol glycans (GPI-anchor) thus releasing these proteins from the membrane.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Secreted.

  • Target Protein Families

    GPLD1 family

  • Target Synonyms

    Glycoprotein phospholipase D; Glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase D; GPI-PLD; GPI-specific phospholipase D; GPIPLD; GPIPLDM; GPLD1; MGC22590; PHLD_HUMAN; Phosphatidylinositol glycan specific phospholipase D; Phosphatidylinositol-glycan-specific phospholipase D; PI-G PLD; PIGPLD; PIGPLD1

  • Target Background

Many proteins are tethered to the extracellular face of eukaryotic plasma membranes by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor. The GPI-anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells. The protein encoded by this gene is a GPI degrading enzyme. Glycosylphosphatidylinositol specific phospholipase D1 hydrolyzes the inositol phosphate linkage in proteins anchored by phosphatidylinositol glycans, thereby releasing the attached protein from the plasma membrane.
