The antibody against SSC1 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast) SSC1 protein (363-654aa) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, Protein G Purified. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB.

Target Species
Yeast
Target Name
SSC1
Target Function
Essential component of the PAM complex, a complex required for the translocation of transit peptide-containing proteins from the inner membrane into the mitochondrial matrix in an ATP-dependent manner. Constitutes the ATP-driven core of the motor and binds the precursor preprotein. Required for the import of the processed frataxin homolog YFH1 into the mitochondrion.
Target Subcellular Location
Mitochondrion matrix.
Target Protein Families
