Enhance your cardiovascular research with our high-quality Recombinant Human PROCR protein, a vital endothelial cell membrane receptor that plays a significant role in regulating blood coagulation and inflammation. PROCR, or Endothelial protein C receptor, binds to protein C and activated protein C, mediating the anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, and cytoprotective effects of the protein C pathway. Derived from an E.coli expression system, this Recombinant Human PROCR protein features a partial sequence (18-210aa) and includes an N-terminal 6xHis tag for convenient purification and detection. With a purity greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE, you can trust this high-quality protein for your cardiovascular research applications. Available in both liquid and lyophilized powder formats, you can choose the option that best aligns with your experimental requirements and workflow.

Endothelial protein C receptor
Target Function
Binds activated protein C. Enhances protein C activation by the thrombin-thrombomodulin complex; plays a role in the protein C pathway controlling blood coagulation.
Target Subcellular Location
Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Target Tissue Specificity
Expressed strongly in the endothelial cells of arteries and veins in heart and lung, less intensely in capillaries in the lung and skin, and not at all in the endothelium of small vessels of the liver and kidney.
Target Research Area
Cardiovascular

Target Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for activated protein C, a serine protease activated by and involved in the blood coagulation pathway. The encoded protein is an N-glycosylated type I membrane protein that enhances the activation of protein C. Mutations in this gene have been associated with venous thromboembolism and myocardial infarction, as well as with late fetal loss during pregnancy. The encoded protein may also play a role in malarial infection and has been associated with cancer.
