Rabbit anti-Human ARAP1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ARAP1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 834-1133 of human ARAP1 (NP_001128662.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IF/ICC, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q96P48

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ARAP1

  • Target Full Name

Arf-GAP with Rho-GAP domain, ANK repeat and PH domain-containing protein 1

  • Target Function

Phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate-dependent GTPase-activating protein that modulates actin cytoskeleton remodeling by regulating ARF and RHO family members. Is activated by phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PtdIns(3,4,5)P3) binding. Can be activated by phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate (PtdIns(3,4,5)P2) binding, albeit with lower efficiency. Has a preference for ARF1 and ARF5.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Cytoplasm. Golgi apparatus, Golgi stack membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Cell membrane. Note=Associated with Golgi stacks in resting cells. Throughout the cytoplasm and in surface protrusion in cells that are in the process of attaching to a surface and spreading.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Detected in heart, skeletal muscle, spleen, kidney, liver, placenta, lung, peripheral blood leukocytes, adrenal gland, bone marrow, brain, lymph node, mammary gland, prostate, spinal cord, stomach, thyroid and trachea.

  • Target Synonyms

2410002L19Rik; ANK repeat and PH domain-containing protein 1; ARAP 1; Arap1; ARAP1_HUMAN; Arf GAP Rho GAP ankyrin repeat and pleckstrin homology domains containing protein 1; Arf GAP Rho GAP ankyrin repeat and pleckstrin homology domain containing protein 1; Arf-GAP with Rho-GAP domain; CENT D2; Centaurin delta 2; Centaurin delta2; Centaurin-delta-2; CENTD 2; CENTD2; Cnt d2; Cnt-d2; Cntd2; KIAA0782; MGC176140; mKIAA0782

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene contains SAM, ARF-GAP, RHO-GAP, ankyrin repeat, RAS-associating, and pleckstrin homology (PH) domains. In vitro, this protein displays RHO-GAP and phosphatidylinositol (3, 4, 5) trisphosphate (PIP3)-dependent ARF-GAP activity. The encoded protein associates with the Golgi, and the ARF-GAP activity mediates changes in the Golgi and the formation of filopodia. It is thought to regulate the cell-specific trafficking of a receptor protein involved in apoptosis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
