Rabbit anti-Human ARHGEF26 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ARHGEF26 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 592-871 of human ARHGEF26 (NP_056410.3) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IF/ICC, ELISA.

Uniprot IDQ96DR7Immunogen Sequence
Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q96DR7

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ARHGEF26

  • Target Full Name

Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 26

  • Target Function

Activates RhoG GTPase by promoting the exchange of GDP by GTP. Required for the formation of membrane ruffles during macropinocytosis. Required for the formation of cup-like structures during trans-endothelial migration of leukocytes. In case of Salmonella enterica infection, activated by SopB, which induces cytoskeleton rearrangements and promotes bacterial entry.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cell projection, ruffle.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Isoform 1 is broadly expressed, with highest levels in liver (at protein level). Certain mRNA species appear to be specifically expressed in prostate and liver.

  • Target Synonyms

ARHGEF26; SGEF; HMFN1864; Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 26; SH3 domain-containing guanine exchange factor

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a member of the Rho-guanine nucleotide exchange factor (Rho-GEF) family. These proteins regulate Rho GTPases by catalyzing the exchange of GDP for GTP. The encoded protein specifically activates RhoG and plays a role in the promotion of macropinocytosis. Underexpression of the encoded protein may be a predictive marker of chemoresistant disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
