The antibody against CREB1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-341 of human CREB1 (NP_604391.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, IP, ELISA.

Target Full Name
Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1
Target Function
Phosphorylation-dependent transcription factor that stimulates transcription upon binding to the DNA cAMP response element (CRE), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. Transcription activation is enhanced by the TORC coactivators which act independently of Ser-119 phosphorylation. Involved in different cellular processes including the synchronization of circadian rhythmicity and the differentiation of adipose cells.
Target Involvement
Angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma (AFH)
Target Subcellular Location
Nucleus.

Target Background
This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
