The antibody against MRGPRX1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 263-322 of human MRGPRX1 (NP_671732.3) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Name
MRGPRX1
Target Full Name
Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X1
Target Function
Orphan receptor. Probably involved in the function of nociceptive neurons. May regulate nociceptor function and/or development, including the sensation or modulation of pain. Potently activated by enkephalins including BAM22 (bovine adrenal medulla peptide 22) and BAM (8-22)(PubMed:26582731). BAM22 is the most potent compound and evoked a large and dose-dependent release of intracellular calcium in stably transfected cells. G(alpha)q proteins are involved in the calcium-signaling pathway. Activated by the antimalarial drug, chloroquine. May mediate chloroquine-induced itch, in a histamine-independent manner.
Target Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, Mas subfamily
Target Tissue Specificity
Uniquely localized in a subset of small dorsal root and trigeminal sensory neurons.
Target Synonyms
MRGPRX1; MRGX1; SNSR3; SNSR4; Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X1; Sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled receptor 3/4
Target Background
Enables transmembrane signaling receptor activity. Involved in cell surface receptor signaling pathway and response to chloroquine. Predicted to be located in cell surface.
