The antibody against NKRF was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 391-690 of human NKRF (NP_060014.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Name
NKRF
Target Full Name
NF-kappa-B-repressing factor
Target Function
Interacts with a specific negative regulatory element (NRE) 5'-AATTCCTCTGA-3' to mediate transcriptional repression of certain NK-kappa-B responsive genes. Involved in the constitutive silencing of the interferon beta promoter, independently of the virus-induced signals, and in the inhibition of the basal and cytokine-induced iNOS promoter activity. Also involved in the regulation of IL-8 transcription.
Target Subcellular Location
Nucleus, nucleolus.
Target Tissue Specificity
Widely and constitutively expressed. Expressed at lower level in colon, peripheral blood lymphocytes, lung and kidney.
Target Research Area
Cell Biology
Target Synonyms
NKRF; ITBA4; NRF; NF-kappa-B-repressing factor; NFkB-repressing factor; Protein ITBA4; Transcription factor NRF
Target Background
This gene encodes a transcriptional repressor that interacts with specific negative regulatory elements to mediate transcriptional repression of certain nuclear factor kappa B responsive genes. The protein localizes predominantly to the nucleolus with a small fraction found in the nucleoplasm and cytoplasm. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
