Rabbit anti-Human PPIH Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against PPIH was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-177 of human PPIH (NP_006338.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    O43447

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    PPIH

  • Target Full Name

    Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase H

  • Target Function

PPIase that catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and may therefore assist protein folding. Participates in pre-mRNA splicing. May play a role in the assembly of the U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP complex, one of the building blocks of the spliceosome. May act as a chaperone.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Nucleus speckle. Cytoplasm. Note=Colocalizes with spliceosomal snRNPs. A small proportion may also be cytoplasmic.

  • Target Protein Families

Cyclophilin-type PPIase family, PPIase H subfamily

  • Target Synonyms

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. This protein is a specific component of the complex that includes pre-mRNA processing factors PRPF3, PRPF4, and PRPF18, as well as U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP. This protein has been shown to possess PPIase activity and may act as a protein chaperone that mediates the interactions between different proteins inside the spliceosome.
