Rabbit anti-Mouse CXCL1 Monoclonal Antibody

The antibody against CXCL1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 25-96 of mouse CXCL1(NP_032202.1) as the immunogen. The monoclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

  • Target Species

    Mouse

  • Target Name

    CXCL1

  • Target Full Name

    Growth-regulated alpha protein

  • Target Function

Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. Contributes to neutrophil activation during inflammation. Hematoregulatory chemokine, which, in vitro, suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. KC(5-72) shows a highly enhanced hematopoietic activity.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Secreted.

  • Target Protein Families

    Intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family

  • Target Synonyms

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Chemokines, which recruit and activate leukocytes, are classified by function (inflammatory or homeostatic) or by structure. This secretory protein is proposed to bind the G-protein coupled receptor chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 2 to recruit neutrophils. In mouse, deficiency of this gene is associated with colitis and with defects in immune cell recruitment to the lung.
