Target Function
Endoplasmic reticulum-anchored receptor which modulates interorganelle contacts by interacting with other organelle-bound proteins via their FFAT motif. Might have a more important role in endoplasmic reticulum and endosomes contacts. Promotes migration of primary monocytes and neutrophils, in response to various chemokines.

Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Single-pass type IV membrane protein.
Target Tissue Specificity
Highly expressed in CD14(+) monocytes, and at lower levels in neutrophils. Does not show significant expression in B-cells or T-cells.
