Rabbit anti-Human TMEM147 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against TMEM147 was raised in Rabbit using a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human TMEM147 (NP_116024.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q9BVK8

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    TMEM147

  • Target Full Name

    BOS complex subunit TMEM147

  • Target Function

Component of a ribosome-associated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) translocon complex involved in multi-pass membrane protein transport into the ER membrane and biogenesis. Together with SEC61 and TMCO1, forms the lipid-filled cavity at the center of the translocon where TMEM147 may insert hydrophobic segments of mutli-pass membrane proteins from the lumen into de central membrane cavity in a process gated by SEC61, and TMCO1 may insert hydrophobic segments of nascent chains from the cytosol into the cavity. Acts as a negative regulator of CHRM3 function, most likely by interfering with its trafficking to the cell membrane. Negatively regulates CHRM3-mediated calcium mobilization and activation of RPS6KA1/p90RSK activity

  • Target Subcellular Location

Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.

  • Target Synonyms

    TMEM147; Transmembrane protein 147; Protein NIFIE 14

  • Target Background

Enables ribosome binding activity. Located in endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Part of protein-containing complex.
