Rabbit anti-Human SRSF6 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against SRSF6 was raised in Rabbit using a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human SRSF6 (NP_006266.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    SRSF6

  • Target Full Name

    Serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 6

  • Target Function

Plays a role in constitutive splicing and modulates the selection of alternative splice sites. Plays a role in the alternative splicing of MAPT/Tau exon 10. Binds to alternative exons of TNC pre-mRNA and promotes the expression of alternatively spliced TNC. Plays a role in wound healing and in the regulation of keratinocyte differentiation and proliferation via its role in alternative splicing.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Nucleus. Nucleus speckle.

  • Target Protein Families

    Splicing factor SR family

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is involved in mRNA splicing and may play a role in the determination of alternative splicing. The encoded nuclear protein belongs to the splicing factor SR family and has been shown to bind with and modulate another member of the family, SFRS12. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. In addition, two pseudogenes, one on chromosome 17 and the other on the X chromosome, have been found for this gene.
