The antibody against FREM2 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 47-300 of human FREM2 (NP_997244.4) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IF/ICC, ELISA.

FREM2
Target Full Name
FRAS1-related extracellular matrix protein 2
Target Function
Extracellular matrix protein required for maintenance of the integrity of the skin epithelium and for maintenance of renal epithelia. Required for epidermal adhesion. Involved in the development of eyelids and the anterior segment of the eyeballs.
Target Involvement
Fraser syndrome 2 (FRASRS2)
Target Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
FRAS1 family
Target Synonyms
DKFZp781I048; ECM3 homolog; FRAS1-related extracellular matrix protein 2; FREM 2; Frem2; FREM2_HUMAN; KIAA1074
Target Background
This gene encodes an integral membrane protein containing numerous CSPG (chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan element) repeats and Calx-beta domains. The encoded protein localizes to the basement membrane, forming a ternary complex that plays a role in epidermal-dermal interactions. This protein is important for the integrity of skin and renal epithelia. Mutations in this gene are associated with Fraser syndrome.
