The antibody against POP4 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-220 of human POP4 (NP_006618.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Name
POP4
Target Full Name
Ribonuclease P protein subunit p29
Target Function
Component of ribonuclease P, a ribonucleoprotein complex that generates mature tRNA molecules by cleaving their 5'-ends.
Target Subcellular Location
Nucleus, nucleolus.
Target Protein Families
Eukaryotic/archaeal RNase P protein component 1 family
Target Research Area
Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling
Target Synonyms
POP4; RPP29; Ribonuclease P protein subunit p29; hPOP4; EC 3.1.26.5
Target Background
This gene encodes one of the protein subunits of the small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein complexes: the endoribonuclease for mitochondrial RNA processing complex and the ribonuclease P complex. The encoded protein is localized to the nucleus and associates directly with the RNA component of these complexes. This protein is involved in processing of precursor RNAs. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
