Rabbit anti-Human TCERG1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against TCERG1 was raised in Rabbit using a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 550-650 of human TCERG1 (NP_006697.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    O14776

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    TCERG1

  • Target Full Name

    Transcription elongation regulator 1

  • Target Function

Transcription factor that binds RNA polymerase II and inhibits the elongation of transcripts from target promoters. Regulates transcription elongation in a TATA box-dependent manner. Necessary for TAT-dependent activation of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) promoter.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Nucleus.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

    Detected in brain neurons.

  • Target Synonyms

CA 150; Co activator of 150 kDa; Coactivator of 150 kDa; MGC133200; TAF 2S; TAF2S; TATA box binding protein (TBP) associated factor RNA polymerase II S 150kD; TATA box binding protein associated factor 2S; TATA box binding protein associated factor RNA polymerase II S 150kD; TATA box-binding protein-associated factor 2S; TBP-associated factor, RNA polymerase II, 150-kD; TCERG 1; TCERG1; TCRG1_HUMAN; Transcription elongation regulator 1; Transcription factor CA 150; Transcription factor CA150; Urn1

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a nuclear protein that regulates transcriptional elongation and pre-mRNA splicing. The encoded protein interacts with the hyperphosphorylated C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II via multiple FF domains, and with the pre-mRNA splicing factor SF1 via a WW domain. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcripts variants encoding different isoforms.
