Rabbit anti-Human TMEM165 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against TMEM165 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 172-230 of human TMEM165 (NP_060945.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q9HC07

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    TMEM165

  • Target Full Name

    Putative divalent cation/proton antiporter TMEM165

  • Target Function

May function as a calcium/proton transporter involved in calcium and in lysosomal pH homeostasis. Therefore, it may play an indirect role in protein glycosylation.

  • Target Involvement

Congenital disorder of glycosylation 2K (CDG2K)

  • Target Subcellular Location

Golgi apparatus membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network membrane. Lysosome membrane. Early endosome membrane. Late endosome membrane.

  • Target Protein Families

    GDT1 family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

    Ubiquitously expressed.

  • Target Synonyms

TMEM165; TPARL; Transmembrane protein 165; Transmembrane protein PT27; Transmembrane protein TPARL

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a predicted transmembrane protein with a perinuclear Golgi-like distribution in fibroblasts. Mutations in this gene are associated with the autosomal recessive disorder congenital disorder of glycosylation, type IIk. Knockdown of this gene's expression causes decreased sialylation in HEK cells and suggests this gene plays a role in terminal Golgi glycosylation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
