The pipeline for the recombinant Human MDM4 protein production in e.coli cells consists of the following consecutive steps: construction of the expression vector encoding the Human MDM4 protein (1-490aa), its transformation into e.coli cells, high-density cultivation and induction of the positive cells, cell lysis, and expression analysis. The protein features a N-terminal 6xHis tag fusion. The resulting recombinant Human MDM4 protein is purified from the cell lysate through affinity purification, and its purity is greater than 90% determined by the SDS-PAGE.

Target Name
MDM4
Target Full Name
Protein Mdm4
Target Function
Along with MDM2, contributes to TP53 regulation. Inhibits p53/TP53- and TP73/p73-mediated cell cycle arrest and apoptosis by binding its transcriptional activation domain. Inhibits degradation of MDM2. Can reverse MDM2-targeted degradation of TP53 while maintaining suppression of TP53 transactivation and apoptotic functions.
Target Subcellular Location
Nucleus.
Target Protein Families
MDM2/MDM4 family
Target Tissue Specificity
Expressed in all tissues tested with high levels in thymus.
