Rabbit anti-Human TRAPPC2 Monoclonal Antibody

The antibody against TRAPPC2 was raised in Rabbit using a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human TRAPPC2 (P0DI81) as the immunogen. The monoclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC-P, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    P0DI81

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    TRAPPC2

  • Target Full Name

Trafficking protein particle complex subunit 2

  • Target Function

Prevents transcriptional repression and induction of cell death by ENO1. May play a role in vesicular transport from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi.

  • Target Involvement

    Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda (SEDT)

  • Target Subcellular Location

Cytoplasm, perinuclear region. Endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment. Nucleus. Cytoplasm.

  • Target Protein Families

TRAPP small subunits family, Sedlin subfamily

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Expressed in brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta, skeletal muscle, fetal cartilage, fibroblasts, placenta and lymphocytes.

  • Target Synonyms

TRAPPC2; SEDL; Trafficking protein particle complex subunit 2; Sedlin

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is thought to be part of a large multi-subunit complex involved in the targeting and fusion of endoplasmic reticulum-to-Golgi transport vesicles with their acceptor compartment. In addition, the encoded protein can bind c-myc promoter-binding protein 1 and block its transcriptional repression capability. Mutations in this gene are a cause of spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda (SEDT). A processed pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 19, and other pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 8 and Y. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
