The antibody against CLIC2 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Chloride intracellular channel protein 2 protein (53-247AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IHC, IF.

Target Species
Human
Target Name
CLIC2
Target Full Name
Chloride intracellular channel protein 2
Target Function
Can insert into membranes and form chloride ion channels. Channel activity depends on the pH. Membrane insertion seems to be redox-regulated and may occur only under oxydizing conditions. Modulates the activity of RYR2 and inhibits calcium influx.
Target Involvement
Mental retardation, X-linked, syndromic, 32 (MRXS32)
Target Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Note=Exists both as soluble cytoplasmic protein and as membrane protein with probably a single transmembrane domain.
Target Protein Families
Chloride channel CLIC family
Target Tissue Specificity
Expressed in adult and fetal brain, heart, skeletal muscle, liver, lung, and spleen. Detected in adult stomach and testis. Expressed in fetal thymus and kidney.
Target Synonyms
CLIC2; Chloride intracellular channel protein 2; XAP121
