Rabbit anti-Human CDK11B Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against CDK11B was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from N-terminal of Human CD2L1. as the immunogen. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    P21127

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    CDK11B

  • Target Full Name

    Cyclin-dependent kinase 11B

  • Target Function

Plays multiple roles in cell cycle progression, cytokinesis and apoptosis. Involved in pre-mRNA splicing in a kinase activity-dependent manner. Isoform 7 may act as a negative regulator of normal cell cycle progression.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cytoplasm. Nucleus.

  • Target Protein Families

Protein kinase superfamily, CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family, CDC2/CDKX subfamily

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Expressed ubiquitously. Some evidence of isoform-specific tissue distribution.

  • Target Synonyms

    CDK11B; CDC2L1; CDK11; PITSLREA; PK58; Cyclin-dependent kinase 11B; EC 2.7.11.22; Cell division cycle 2-like protein kinase 1; CLK-1; Cell division protein kinase 11B; Galactosyltransferase-associated protein kinase p58/GTA; PITSLRE serine/threonine-protein kinase CDC2L1; p58 CLK-1

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. Members of this kinase family are known to be essential for eukaryotic cell cycle control. Due to a segmental duplication, this gene shares very high sequence identity with a neighboring gene. These two genes are frequently deleted or altered in neuroblastoma. The protein kinase encoded by this gene can be cleaved by caspases and may play a role in cell apoptosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
