The antibody against HAGH was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Hydroxyacylglutathione hydrolase, mitochondrial protein (50-308AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, IHC.

Target Full Name
Hydroxyacylglutathione hydrolase, mitochondrial
Target Function
Thiolesterase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of S-D-lactoyl-glutathione to form glutathione and D-lactic acid.
Target Subcellular Location
[Isoform 1]: Mitochondrion matrix.; [Isoform 2]: Cytoplasm.
Target Protein Families
Metallo-beta-lactamase superfamily, Glyoxalase II family
Target Tissue Specificity
Expressed in liver and kidney.

Target Synonyms
HAGH; GLO2; HAGH1Hydroxyacylglutathione hydrolase; mitochondrial; EC 3.1.2.6; Glyoxalase II; Glx II
Target Background
The enzyme encoded by this gene is classified as a thiolesterase and is responsible for the hydrolysis of S-lactoyl-glutathione to reduced glutathione and D-lactate. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
