The antibody against MAP3K1 was raised in rabbit using the Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of threonine 1402(T-G-A(p)-G-F) derived from Human MAP3K1. as the immunogen. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy usi This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IHC.

Target Name
MAP3K1
Target Full Name
Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 1
Target Function
Component of a protein kinase signal transduction cascade. Activates the ERK and JNK kinase pathways by phosphorylation of MAP2K1 and MAP2K4. May phosphorylate the MAPK8/JNK1 kinase. Activates CHUK and IKBKB, the central protein kinases of the NF-kappa-B pathway.
Target Involvement
46,XY sex reversal 6 (SRXY6)
Target Protein Families
Protein kinase superfamily, STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family, MAP kinase kinase kinase subfamily
Target Synonyms
M3K1_HUMAN; MAP3K1; MAPK/ERK kinase kinase 1; MAPKKK1; MEK kinase 1; MEKK 1; Mekk; MEKK1; Mitogen activated protein kinase kinase kinase 1; Mitogen activated protein kinase kinase kinase 1; E3 ubiquitin protein ligase; Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 1; SRXY6
Target Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine kinase and is part of some signal transduction cascades, including the ERK and JNK kinase pathways as well as the NF-kappa-B pathway. The encoded protein is activated by autophosphorylation and requires magnesium as a cofactor in phosphorylating other proteins. This protein has E3 ligase activity conferred by a plant homeodomain (PHD) in its N-terminus and phospho-kinase activity conferred by a kinase domain in its C-terminus.
