The antibody against RTBDN was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 63-261 of human RTBDN (NP_113617.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Species
Human
Target Name
RTBDN
Target Full Name
Retbindin
Target Function
Riboflavin-binding protein which might have a role in retinal flavin transport.
Target Subcellular Location
Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix, interphotoreceptor matrix. Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
Folate receptor family
Target Tissue Specificity
Expressed in peripheral retina (at protein level).
Target Synonyms
RTBDNRetbindin
Target Background
This gene was first identified in a study of human eye tissues. The protein encoded by this gene is preferentially expressed in the retina and may play a role in binding retinoids and other carotenoids as it shares homology with riboflavin binding proteins. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants and protein isoforms.
