Rabbit anti-Human TNFRSF17 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against TNFRSF17 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the Internal region of Human CD269. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated antibody. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q02223

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    TNFRSF17

  • Target Full Name

Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 17

  • Target Function

Receptor for TNFSF13B/BLyS/BAFF and TNFSF13/APRIL. Promotes B-cell survival and plays a role in the regulation of humoral immunity. Activates NF-kappa-B and JNK.

  • Target Involvement

A chromosomal aberration involving TNFRSF17 is found in a form of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). Translocation t(4;16)(q26;p13) with IL2.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Cell membrane; Single-pass type III membrane protein. Endomembrane system; Single-pass type III membrane protein. Note=Perinuclear Golgi-like structures.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Expressed in mature B-cells, but not in T-cells or monocytes.

  • Target Research Area

    Cancer

  • Target Synonyms

    BCM; BCMA; CD269; TNFRSF13A; TNFRSF17

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is preferentially expressed in mature B lymphocytes, and may be important for B cell development and autoimmune response. This receptor has been shown to specifically bind to the tumor necrosis factor (ligand) superfamily, member 13b (TNFSF13B/TALL-1/BAFF), and to lead to NF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK activation. This receptor also binds to various TRAF family members, and thus may transduce signals for cell survival and proliferation.
