The antibody against ADRA2B was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from internal of Human Adrenergic Receptor alpha-2B. as the immunogen. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, IF.

Target Species
Human
Target Name
ADRA2B
Target Full Name
Alpha-2B adrenergic receptor
Target Function
Alpha-2 adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine-induced inhibition of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. The rank order of potency for agonists of this receptor is clonidine > norepinephrine > epinephrine = oxymetazoline > dopamine > p-tyramine = phenylephrine > serotonin > p-synephrine / p-octopamine. For antagonists, the rank order is yohimbine > chlorpromazine > phentolamine > mianserine > spiperone > prazosin > alprenolol > propanolol > pindolol.
Target Involvement
Epilepsy, familial adult myoclonic, 2 (FAME2)
Target Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, Adrenergic receptor subfamily, ADRA2B sub-subfamily
Target Synonyms
ADRA2B; ADRA2L1; ADRA2RL1; Alpha-2B adrenergic receptor; Alpha-2 adrenergic receptor subtype C2; Alpha-2B adrenoreceptor; Alpha-2B adrenoceptor; Alpha-2BAR
Target Background
This intronless gene encodes a seven-pass transmembrane protein. This protein is a member of a subfamily of G protein-coupled receptors that regulate neurotransmitter release from sympathetic nerves and from adrenergic neurons in the central nervous system.
