Rabbit anti-Human ANKRD1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ANKRD1 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from internal of Human ANKRD1. as the immunogen. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q15327

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ANKRD1

  • Target Full Name

    Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 1

  • Target Function

May play an important role in endothelial cell activation. May act as a nuclear transcription factor that negatively regulates the expression of cardiac genes. Induction seems to be correlated with apoptotic cell death in hepatoma cells.

  • Target Involvement

Total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Nucleus.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Mainly expressed in activated vascular endothelial cells. To a lower extent, also expressed in hepatoma cells.

  • Target Synonyms

ALRP; ANKR1_HUMAN; ANKRD 1; ANKRD1; Ankyrin repeat domain 1 (cardiac muscle); Ankyrin repeat domain containing protein 1 ; Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 1; bA320F15.2 ; C 193; C193; Cardiac ankyrin repeat protein; CARP; CVARP; Cytokine inducible nuclear protein; Cytokine-inducible gene C-193 protein; Cytokine-inducible nuclear protein; HA1A2; Liver ankyrin repeat domain 1 ; MCARP; OTTHUMP00000020084

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is localized to the nucleus of endothelial cells and is induced by IL-1 and TNF-alpha stimulation. Studies in rat cardiomyocytes suggest that this gene functions as a transcription factor. Interactions between this protein and the sarcomeric proteins myopalladin and titin suggest that it may also be involved in the myofibrillar stretch-sensor system.
