The antibody against DRD5 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human D(1B) dopamine receptor protein (361-477AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IHC, IF.

Human
Target Name
DRD5
Target Full Name
D(1B) dopamine receptor
Target Function
Dopamine receptor whose activity is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase.
Target Involvement
Benign essential blepharospasm (BEB)
Target Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
G-protein coupled receptor 1 family
Target Tissue Specificity
Neuron-specific, localized primarily within limbic regions of the brain.
Target Synonyms
DRD5; DRD1B; DRD1L2; D(1B dopamine receptor; D(5 dopamine receptor; D1beta dopamine receptor; Dopamine D5 receptor
Target Background
This gene encodes the D5 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D5 subtype is a G-protein coupled receptor which stimulates adenylyl cyclase. This receptor is expressed in neurons in the limbic regions of the brain. It has a 10-fold higher affinity for dopamine than the D1 subtype. Pseudogenes related to this gene reside on chromosomes 1 and 2.
