Rabbit anti-Human EMILIN1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against EMILIN1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 817-1016 of human EMILIN1 (NP_008977.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q9Y6C2

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    EMILIN1

  • Target Full Name

    EMILIN-1

  • Target Function

May be responsible for anchoring smooth muscle cells to elastic fibers, and may be involved not only in the formation of the elastic fiber, but also in the processes that regulate vessel assembly. Has cell adhesive capacity.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Distributed in tissues where resilience and elastic recoil are prominent. Highest levels in the adult small intestine, aorta, lung, uterus, and appendix and in the fetal spleen, kidney, lung, and heart; intermediate expression was detected in adult liver,

  • Target Synonyms

  • Target Background

This gene encodes an extracellular matrix glycoprotein that is characterized by an N-terminal microfibril interface domain, a coiled-coiled alpha-helical domain, a collagenous domain and a C-terminal globular C1q domain. The encoded protein associates with elastic fibers at the interface between elastin and microfibrils and may play a role in the development of elastic tissues including large blood vessels, dermis, heart and lung.
