Rabbit anti-Human GNB2 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against GNB2 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(I)/G(S)/G(T) subunit beta-2 protein (1-340AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, Antigen affinity purified. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IHC.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    P62879

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    GNB2

  • Target Full Name

    Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(I)/G(S)/G(T) subunit beta-2

  • Target Function

Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as a modulator or transducer in various transmembrane signaling systems. The beta and gamma chains are required for the GTPase activity, for replacement of GDP by GTP, and for G protein-effector interaction.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cytoplasm, perinuclear region.

  • Target Protein Families

WD repeat G protein beta family

  • Target Research Area

  • Target Background

Heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins), which integrate signals between receptors and effector proteins, are composed of an alpha, a beta, and a gamma subunit. These subunits are encoded by families of related genes. This gene encodes a beta subunit. Beta subunits are important regulators of alpha subunits, as well as of certain signal transduction receptors and effectors. This gene contains a trinucleotide (CCG) repeat length polymorphism in its 5' UTR.
