The antibody against MAPRE2 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Microtubule-associated protein RP/EB family member 2 protein (159-240AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IF.

Target Name
MAPRE2
Target Full Name
Microtubule-associated protein RP/EB family member 2
Target Function
May be involved in microtubule polymerization, and spindle function by stabilizing microtubules and anchoring them at centrosomes. May play a role in cell migration.
Target Involvement
Skin creases, congenital symmetric circumferential, 2 (CSCSC2)
Target Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Note=Associated with the microtubule network. Accumulates at the plus end of microtubules.
Target Protein Families
MAPRE family
Target Tissue Specificity
Expressed in different tumor cell lines. Up-regulated in activated B- and T-lymphocytes.
Target Synonyms
APC binding protein EB1; APC binding protein EB2; APC-binding protein EB2; EB1 ; EB2; End binding protein 2; End-binding protein 2; H.sapiens mRNA for novel T cell activation protein; MAPRE2; MARE2_HUMAN; Microtubule associated protein RP/EB family member 2 ; Microtubule-associated protein RP/EB family member 2; RP1 ; T cell activation protein EB1 family
Target Background
The protein encoded by this gene shares significant homology to the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein-binding EB1 gene family. This protein is a microtubule-associated protein that is necessary for spindle symmetry during mitosis. It is thought to play a role in the tumorigenesis of colorectal cancers and the proliferative control of normal cells. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
