Rabbit anti-Human Phospho-ZNF598 (Y306) Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ZNF598 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from Human ZFP598 around the phosphorylation site of Y306. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q86UK7

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ZNF598

  • Target Full Name

    E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase ZNF598

  • Target Function

E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that plays a key role in the ribosome quality control (RQC), a pathway that takes place when a ribosome has stalled during translation. Required for ribosomes to terminally stall during translation of poly(A) sequences by mediating monoubiquitination of 40S ribosomal protein RPS10/eS10, RPS20/uS10 and RPS3/uS3. Stalling precludes synthesis of a long poly-lysine tail and initiates the RQC pathway to degrade the potentially detrimental aberrant nascent polypeptide. Also acts as a component of the 4EHP-GYF2 complex, a multiprotein complex that acts as a repressor of translation initiation.

  • Target Protein Families

    ZNF598 family

  • Target Synonyms

    Zinc finger protein 598; ZN598_HUMAN; Znf598

  • Target Background

Zinc-finger proteins bind nucleic acids and play important roles in various cellular functions, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. This protein and Grb10-interacting GYF protein 2 have been identified as a components of the mammalian 4EHP (m4EHP) complex. The complex is thought to function as a translation repressor in embryonic development.
