Rabbit anti-Human PTH1R Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against PTH1R was raised in rabbit using the Synthetic peptide from Human protein at AA range: 1268-1341 as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated antibody. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit serum by affinity-chromatography using specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q03431

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    PTH1R

  • Target Full Name

    Parathyroid hormone/parathyroid hormone-related peptide receptor

  • Target Function

Receptor for parathyroid hormone and for parathyroid hormone-related peptide. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase and also a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.

  • Target Involvement

Jansen metaphyseal chondrodysplasia (JMC); Chondrodysplasia Blomstrand type (BOCD); Enchondromatosis multiple (ENCHOM); Eiken skeletal dysplasia (EISD); Primary failure of tooth eruption (PFE)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.

  • Target Protein Families

    G-protein coupled receptor 2 family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Expressed in most tissues. Most abundant in kidney, bone and liver.

  • Target Synonyms

    PFE; EKNS; PTHR; PTHR1; PTH1R

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family 2. This protein is a receptor for parathyroid hormone (PTH) and for parathyroid hormone-like hormone (PTHLH). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase and also a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Defects in this receptor are known to be the cause of Jansen's metaphyseal chondrodysplasia (JMC), chondrodysplasia Blomstrand type (BOCD), as well as enchodromatosis. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
