The antibody against SLC17A4 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Probable small intestine urate exporter protein (14-57AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, IF.

Target Name
SLC17A4
Target Full Name
Probable small intestine urate exporter
Target Function
Acts as a membrane potential-dependent organic anion transporter, the transport requires a low concentration of chloride ions. May be involved in urate extrusion from the intestinal duct. May recognize hydrophilic anionic drugs such as aspirin, salicylate, and ibuprofen as substrates. Able to actively transport inorganic phosphate into cells via Na(+) cotransport (in vitro).
Target Subcellular Location
Apical cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Note=Apical in the intestinal brush border.
Target Protein Families
Major facilitator superfamily, Sodium/anion cotransporter family
Target Tissue Specificity
Abundantly expressed in pancreas, liver, colon and small intestine, less in kidney. Not detected in the adrenal glands, brain, placenta, heart, testis, skeletal muscle, and lungs.
Target Synonyms
SLC17A4; Probable small intestine urate exporter; Solute carrier family 17 member 4
