Rabbit anti-Human DAK Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against TKFC was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the Internal region of Human DHA Kinase. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q3LXA3

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    TKFC

  • Target Full Name

    Triokinase/FMN cyclase

  • Target Function

Catalyzes both the phosphorylation of dihydroxyacetone and of glyceraldehyde, and the splitting of ribonucleoside diphosphate-X compounds among which FAD is the best substrate. Represses IFIH1-mediated cellular antiviral response.

  • Target Protein Families

    Dihydroxyacetone kinase (DAK) family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Detected in erythrocytes (at protein level).

  • Target Synonyms

ATP dependent dihydroxyacetone kinase; Bifunctional ATP dependent dihydroxyacetone kinase/FAD AMP lyase (cyclizing); DAK; DHA kinase; Dha kinase/FMN cyclase; DHAK_HUMAN; Dihydroxyacetone kinase; Dihydroxyacetone kinase 2; Dihydroxyacetone kinase 2 homolog (S. cerevisiae); Dihydroxyacetone kinase 2 homolog (yeast); FAD AMP lyase (cyclic FMN forming); FAD AMP lyase (cyclizing); FAD-AMP lyase (cyclic FMN forming); FAD-AMP lyase (cyclizing); FMN cyclase; Glycerone kinase

  • Target Background

This gene is a member of the family of dihydroxyacetone kinases, which have a protein structure distinct from other kinases. The product of this gene phosphorylates dihydroxyacetone, and also catalyzes the formation of riboflavin 4', 5'-phosphate (aka cyclin FMN) from FAD. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
