Rabbit anti-Human CNDP2 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against CNDP2 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Cytosolic non-specific dipeptidase protein (2-475AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, IHC.

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    CNDP2

  • Target Full Name

    Cytosolic non-specific dipeptidase

  • Target Function

Catalyzes the peptide bond hydrolysis in dipeptides, displaying a non-redundant activity toward threonyl dipeptides. Mediates threonyl dipeptide catabolism in a tissue-specific way. Has high dipeptidase activity toward cysteinylglycine, an intermediate metabolite in glutathione metabolism. Metabolizes N-lactoyl-amino acids, both through hydrolysis to form lactic acid and amino acids, as well as through their formation by reverse proteolysis. Plays a role in the regulation of cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.

  • Target Protein Families

    Peptidase M20A family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

[Isoform 1]: Ubiquitously expressed with higher levels in kidney and liver (at protein level). Expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes. Expressed in gastric mucosa and down-regulated in gastric cancer mucosal tissues (at protein level).; [Isoform 2]: Bro

  • Target Background

CNDP2, also known as tissue carnosinase and peptidase A (EC 3.4.13.18), is a nonspecific dipeptidase rather than a selective carnosinase (Teufel et al., 2003 [PubMed 12473676]).
