The antibody against CPD was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 860-1100 of human CPD (NP_001295.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
Peptidase M14 family
Target Tissue Specificity
Highly expressed in placenta, pancreas and hepatoma cells. Lower levels found in skeletal muscle, heart and colon carcinoma and melanoma cell lines.
Target Research Area
Signal Transduction, Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling
Target Synonyms
Carboxypeptidase D; CBPD_HUMAN; Cpd; gp180 ; Metallocarboxypeptidase D
Target Background
The metallocarboxypeptidase family of enzymes is divided into 2 subfamilies based on sequence similarities. The pancreatic carboxypeptidase-like and the regulatory B-type carboxypeptidase subfamilies. Carboxypeptidase D has been identified as a regulatory B-type carboxypeptidase. CPD is a homolog of duck gp180, a hepatitis B virus-binding protein. Transcript variants utilizing alternative polyadenylation signals exist for this gene.
