Rabbit anti-Human LYAR Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against LYAR was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the Internal region of Human LYAR. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q9NX58

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    LYAR

  • Target Full Name

    Cell growth-regulating nucleolar protein

  • Target Function

Plays a role in the maintenance of the appropriate processing of 47S/45S pre-rRNA to 32S/30S pre-rRNAs and their subsequent processing to produce 18S and 28S rRNAs. Also acts at the level of transcription regulation. Along with PRMT5, binds the gamma-globin (HBG1/HBG2) promoter and represses its expression. In neuroblastoma cells, may also repress the expression of oxidative stress genes, including CHAC1, HMOX1, SLC7A11, ULBP1 and SNORD41 that encodes a small nucleolar RNA. Preferentially binds to a DNA motif containing 5'-GGTTAT-3'. Negatively regulates the antiviral innate immune response by targeting IRF3 and impairing its DNA-binding activity. In addition, inhibits NF-kappa-B-mediated expression of proinflammatory cytokines. Stimulates phagocytosis of photoreceptor outer segments by retinal pigment epithelial cells. Prevents nucleolin/NCL self-cleavage, maintaining a normal steady-state level of NCL protein in undifferentiated embryonic stem cells (ESCs), which in turn is essential for ESC self-renewal.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Nucleus. Nucleus, nucleolus. Cytoplasm. Cell projection, cilium, photoreceptor outer segment.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

    Predominantly expressed in testis.

  • Target Research Area

    Cell Biology

  • Target Synonyms

Cell growth regulating nucleolar protein; Cell growth-regulating nucleolar protein; Likely ortholog of mouse Ly1 reactive clone ; Ly1 reactive; Ly1 reactive homolog (mouse) ; Ly1 reactive homolog; LYAR; LYAR_HUMAN; ZC2HC2; ZLYAR

  • Target Background

Enables several functions, including DNA-binding transcription factor binding activity; identical protein binding activity; and transcription regulator inhibitor activity. Involved in several processes, including erythrocyte development; negative regulation of innate immune response; and regulation of transcription, DNA-templated. Located in nucleolus and nucleoplasm.
