Rabbit anti-Human MINPP1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against MINPP1 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from internal of Human MINPP1. as the immunogen. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q9UNW1

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    MINPP1

  • Target Full Name

    Multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase 1

  • Target Function

Acts as a phosphoinositide 5- and phosphoinositide 6-phosphatase and regulates cellular levels of inositol pentakisphosphate (InsP5) and inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6). Also acts as a 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate 3-phosphatase, by mediating the dephosphorylation of 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate (2,3-BPG) to produce phospho-D-glycerate without formation of 3-phosphoglycerate. May play a role in bone development (endochondral ossification). May play a role in the transition of chondrocytes from proliferation to hypertrophy.

  • Target Involvement

    Thyroid cancer, non-medullary, 2 (NMTC2)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Endoplasmic reticulum lumen.

  • Target Protein Families

Histidine acid phosphatase family, MINPP1 subfamily

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Widely expressed with highest levels in kidney, liver and placenta.

  • Target Research Area

    Signal Transduction

  • Target Synonyms

    3; 4; 5)-tetrakisphosphate 3-phosphatase; 5)P(4) 3-phosphatase; DKFZp564L2016; HIPER1; Inositol (1; inositol (1,3,4,5)-tetrakisphosphate 3-phosphatase; Ins(1; ins(1,3,4,5)P(4) 3-phosphatase; MINP1_HUMAN; Minpp1; MINPP2; MIPP; Multiple inositol polyphosphate histidine phosphatase, 1; Multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase 1; multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase 2

  • Target Background

This gene encodes multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase; an enzyme that removes 3-phosphate from inositol phosphate substrates. It is the only enzyme known to hydrolzye inositol pentakisphosphate and inositol hexakisphosphate. This enzyme also converts 2, 3 bisphosphoglycerate (2, 3-BPG) to 2-phosphoglycerate; an activity formerly thought to be exclusive to 2, 3-BPG synthase/2-phosphatase (BPGM) in the Rapoport-Luebering shunt of the glycolytic pathway.
