The antibody against pbpD was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Bacillus subtilis Penicillin-binding protein 4 protein (213-450AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA.

Target Species
Bacillus Subtilis
Target Name
PBPD
Target Function
Cell wall formation. Synthesis of cross-linked peptidoglycan from the lipid intermediates. The enzyme has a penicillin-insensitive transglycosylase N-terminal domain (formation of linear glycan strands) and a penicillin-sensitive transpeptidase C-terminal domain (cross-linking of the peptide subunits) (Probable). Has a partially redundant function with PBP-2A (pbpA) during spore outgrowth.
Target Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
Glycosyltransferase 51 family; Transpeptidase family
