Rabbit anti-Human ABHD4 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ABHD4 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of Human ABHD4. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on IHC, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q8TB40

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ABHD4

  • Target Full Name

    (Lyso)-N-acylphosphatidylethanolamine lipase

  • Target Function

Lysophospholipase selective for N-acyl phosphatidylethanolamine (NAPE). Contributes to the biosynthesis of N-acyl ethanolamines, including the endocannabinoid anandamide by hydrolyzing the sn-1 and sn-2 acyl chains from N-acyl phosphatidylethanolamine (NAPE) generating glycerophospho-N-acyl ethanolamine (GP-NAE), an intermediate for N-acyl ethanolamine biosynthesis. Hydrolyzes substrates bearing saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated N-acyl chains. Shows no significant activity towards other lysophospholipids, including lysophosphatidylcholine, lysophosphatidylethanolamine and lysophosphatidylserine.

  • Target Protein Families

    Peptidase S33 family, ABHD4/ABHD5 subfamily

  • Target Synonyms

    ABHD4(Lyso)-N-acylphosphatidylethanolamine lipase; EC 3.1.1.-; Alpha/beta hydrolase domain-containing protein 4; Abhydrolase domain-containing protein 4; Alpha/beta-hydrolase 4

  • Target Background

Predicted to enable lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase activity and lysophospholipase activity. Predicted to be involved in N-acylphosphatidylethanolamine metabolic process; lipid homeostasis; and phosphatidic acid biosynthetic process. Predicted to act upstream of or within N-acylethanolamine metabolic process. Predicted to be located in endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Predicted to be active in lipid droplet and mitochondrion.
