Rabbit anti-Human ATAD1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ATAD1 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human ATPase family AAA domain-containing protein 1 protein (289-350AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IHC.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q8NBU5

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ATAD1

  • Target Full Name

    Outer mitochondrial transmembrane helix translocase

  • Target Function

Outer mitochondrial translocase required to remove mislocalized tail-anchored transmembrane proteins on mitochondria. Specifically recognizes and binds tail-anchored transmembrane proteins: acts as a dislocase that mediates the ATP-dependent extraction of mistargeted tail-anchored transmembrane proteins from the mitochondrion outer membrane. Also plays a critical role in regulating the surface expression of AMPA receptors (AMPAR), thereby regulating synaptic plasticity and learning and memory. Required for NMDA-stimulated AMPAR internalization and inhibition of GRIA1 and GRIA2 recycling back to the plasma membrane; these activities are ATPase-dependent.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Mitochondrion outer membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Peroxisome membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Cell junction, synapse, postsynaptic cell membrane; Single-pass membrane protein.

  • Target Protein Families

    AAA ATPase family

  • Target Synonyms

4921525H23Rik; AAA+ ATPase Thorase; Ab2-088; AFDC1; Atad1; ATAD1_HUMAN; ATPase family AAA domain containing protein 1; ATPase family AAA domain-containing protein 1; ATPase family, AAA domain containing 1; ATPase Thorase; AW107648; FLJ14600; FNP001; Thorase

  • Target Background

Predicted to enable ATP binding activity and transmembrane protein dislocase activity. Involved in extraction of mislocalized protein from mitochondrial outer membrane. Located in mitochondrial outer membrane and peroxisomal membrane. Implicated in hyperekplexia 4.
