The antibody against CDH19 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 240-440 of human CDH19 (NP_066976.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Name
CDH19
Target Full Name
Cadherin-19
Target Function
Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.
Target Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Target Tissue Specificity
Expressed in many tissues, with the exception of uterus.
Target Synonyms
CAD19_HUMAN; Cadherin 19; type 2; Cadherin-19; CDH 19; CDH19; CDH7; CDH7L2; PRO941; UNQ478
Target Background
This gene is one of three related type II cadherin genes situated in a cluster on chromosome 18. The encoded protein is a calcium dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein containing five extracellular cadherin repeats. Loss of cadherins may be associated with cancer formation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants for this gene.
