Rabbit anti-Human LPGAT1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against LPGAT1 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Acyl-CoA:lysophosphatidylglycerol acyltransferase 1 protein (151-341AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IHC.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q92604

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    LPGAT1

  • Target Full Name

    Acyl-CoA:lysophosphatidylglycerol acyltransferase 1

  • Target Function

Catalyzes the transfert of an acyl group from an acyl-CoA to a lysophosphatidylglycerol (LPG) leading to biosynthesis of phosphatidylglycerol, a precursor for cardiolipin synthesis. Uses various acyl-CoAs and LPGs as substrates but demonstrates a clear preference for long chain saturated fatty acyl-CoAs and oleoyl-CoA as acyl donors. Prefers oleoyl-LPG over palmitoyl-LPG as an acyl receptor and oleoyl-CoA over lauroyl-CoA as an acyl donor. In vitro can also catalyzes the transfert of an acyl group from an acyl-CoA to a monoacylglycerol leading to diacylglycerol synthesis, a precursor of triacylglycerol and plays a role in hepatic triacylglycerol synthesis and secretion. Prefers the sn-2-monoacylglycerol to rac-1-monoacylglycerol as acyl acceptor.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.

  • Target Protein Families

    1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Highly expressed in liver and placenta. Also expressed in peripheral blood, lung, kidney and brain. Detected at lower levels in colon.

  • Target Synonyms

    LPGAT1; FAM34A; KIAA0205; Acyl-CoA:lysophosphatidylglycerol acyltransferase 1; Acyl-CoA:monoacylglycerol acyltransferase LPGAT1
