The antibody against LYPLA1 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from internal of Human LYPLA1. as the immunogen. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB.

Target Name
LYPLA1
Target Full Name
Acyl-protein thioesterase 1
Target Function
Acts as a acyl-protein thioesterase. Hydrolyzes fatty acids from S-acylated cysteine residues in proteins such as trimeric G alpha proteins or HRAS. Has depalmitoylating activity toward KCNMA1. Could also depalmitoylate ADRB2. Acts as a lysophospholipase and hydrolyzes lysophosphatidylcholine (lyso-PC). Also hydrolyzes lysophosphatidylethanolamine (lyso-PE), lysophosphatidylinositol (lyso-PI) and lysophosphatidylserine (lyso-PS). Has much higher thioesterase activity than lysophospholipase activity. Contributes to the production of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) during blood coagulation by recognizing and cleaving plasma phospholipids to generate lysophospholipids which in turn act as substrates for ENPP2 to produce LPA.

Target Background
This gene encodes a member of the alpha/beta hydrolase superfamily. The encoded protein functions as a homodimer, exhibiting both depalmitoylating as well as lysophospholipase activity, and may be involved in Ras localization and signaling. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene have been defined on chromosomes 4, 6, and 7.
