The antibody against PIGO was raised in Rabbit using a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 950-1050 of human PIGO (NP_116023.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Name
PIGO
Target Full Name
GPI ethanolamine phosphate transferase 3
Target Function
Ethanolamine phosphate transferase involved in glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis. Transfers ethanolamine phosphate to the GPI third mannose which links the GPI-anchor to the C-terminus of the proteins by an amide bond.
Target Involvement
Hyperphosphatasia with mental retardation syndrome 2 (HPMRS2)
Target Subcellular Location
Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Target Protein Families
PIGG/PIGN/PIGO family, PIGO subfamily
Target Synonyms
PIGO; UNQ632/PRO1249; GPI ethanolamine phosphate transferase 3; EC 2.-.-.-; Phosphatidylinositol-glycan biosynthesis class O protein; PIG-O
Target Background
This gene encodes a protein that is involved in glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis. The GPI-anchor is a glycolipid which contains three mannose molecules in its core backbone. The GPI-anchor is found on many blood cells and serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface. This protein is involved in the transfer of ethanolaminephosphate (EtNP) to the third mannose in GPI. At least three alternatively spliced transcripts encoding two distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
