Rabbit anti-Human GNRH1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against GNRH1 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the Internal region of Human GnRH I. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on IHC, ELISA.

    P01148

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    GNRH1

  • Target Full Name

    Progonadoliberin-1

  • Target Function

Stimulates the secretion of gonadotropins; it stimulates the secretion of both luteinizing and follicle-stimulating hormones.

  • Target Involvement

Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism 12 with or without anosmia (HH12)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Secreted.

  • Target Protein Families

    GnRH family

  • Target Synonyms

    GNRH1; GNRH; GRH; LHRHProgonadoliberin-1; Progonadoliberin I) [Cleaved into: Gonadoliberin-1; Gonadoliberin I; Gonadorelin; Gonadotropin-releasing hormone I; GnRH-I; Luliberin I; Luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone I; LH-RH I); GnRH-associated peptide 1; GnRH-associated peptide I)]

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate a peptide that is a member of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) family of peptides. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which is secreted and then cleaved to generate gonadoliberin-1 and GnRH-associated peptide 1. Gonadoliberin-1 stimulates the release of luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormones, which are important for reproduction. Mutations in this gene are associated with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
