Rabbit anti-Human APOA1BP Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against NAXE was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the Internal region of Human AI-BP. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, IF, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q8NCW5

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    NAXE

  • Target Full Name

    NAD(P)H-hydrate epimerase

  • Target Function

Catalyzes the epimerization of the S- and R-forms of NAD(P)HX, a damaged form of NAD(P)H that is a result of enzymatic or heat-dependent hydration. This is a prerequisite for the S-specific NAD(P)H-hydrate dehydratase to allow the repair of both epimers of NAD(P)HX. Accelerates cholesterol efflux from endothelial cells to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and thereby regulates angiogenesis.

  • Target Involvement

Encephalopathy, progressive, early-onset, with brain edema and/or leukoencephalopathy (PEBEL)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Mitochondrion. Secreted.

  • Target Protein Families

    NnrE/AIBP family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels in kidney, heart and liver. Present in cerebrospinal fluid and urine but not in serum from healthy patients. Present in serum of sepsis patients (at protein level).

  • Target Synonyms

    NAXE; AIBP; APOA1BP; YJEFN1; NAD(P)H-hydrate epimerase; EC 5.1.99.6; Apolipoprotein A-I-binding protein; AI-BP; NAD(P)HX epimerase; YjeF N-terminal domain-containing protein 1; YjeF_N1

  • Target Background

The product of this gene interacts with apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I), the major apolipoprotein of high-density lipoproteins (HDLs). It is secreted into some bodily fluids, and its synthesis and secretion are stimulated in vitro by incubating cells with apoA-I. The human genome contains related pseudogenes.
