Rabbit anti-Human ARHGEF1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ARHGEF1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 783-912 of human ARHGEF1 (NP_004697.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC-P, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q92888

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ARHGEF1

  • Target Full Name

Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 1

  • Target Function

Seems to play a role in the regulation of RhoA GTPase by guanine nucleotide-binding alpha-12 (GNA12) and alpha-13 (GNA13) subunits. Acts as GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for GNA12 and GNA13, and as guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RhoA GTPase. Activated G alpha 13/GNA13 stimulates the RhoGEF activity through interaction with the RGS-like domain. This GEF activity is inhibited by binding to activated GNA12. Mediates angiotensin-2-induced RhoA activation.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Cytoplasm. Membrane. Note=Translocated to the membrane by activated GNA13 or LPA stimulation.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

    Ubiquitously expressed.

  • Target Synonyms

115 kD protein; 115 kDa guanine nucleotide exchange factor; ARHG1_HUMAN; ARHGEF 1; ARHGEF1; GEF 1; GEF1; LBCL 2; LBCL2; LSC; Lsc homolog; p115 RhoGEF; p115-RhoGEF; p115RhoGEF; Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) 1; Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 1; Sub1.5

  • Target Background

Rho GTPases play a fundamental role in numerous cellular processes that are initiated by extracellular stimuli that work through G protein coupled receptors. The encoded protein may form complex with G proteins and stimulate Rho-dependent signals. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined.
