Rabbit anti-Human ATP8B3 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ATP8B3 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 600-900 of human ATP8B3 (NP_620168.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Uniprot IDO60423Immunogen Sequence
Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    O60423

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ATP8B3

  • Target Full Name

    Phospholipid-transporting ATPase IK

  • Target Function

P4-ATPase flippase which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled to the transport of aminophospholipids from the outer to the inner leaflet of various membranes and ensures the maintenance of asymmetric distribution of phospholipids. Phospholipid translocation seems also to be implicated in vesicle formation and in uptake of lipid signaling molecules. May be responsible for the maintenance of asymmetric distribution of phosphatidylserine (PS) in spermatozoa membranes. Involved in acrosome reactions and binding of spermatozoa to zona pellucida.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, acrosome membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.

  • Target Protein Families

Cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) family, Type IV subfamily

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Isoform 3 was only detected in testis.

  • Target Synonyms

    ATP8B3; ATP1K; FOS37502_2Phospholipid-transporting ATPase IK; EC 7.6.2.1; ATPase class I type 8B member 3
